"Adventure?"
Some travelers may be mildly alarmed at the term “Adventure Tour”. If that’s the case, be at ease. There is no bungee jumping or cave diving on our tours (unless you want some in there). We use the term when talking about the current wave in travel: small groups, traveling with a guide, using local transportation, staying in traditional-style accommodation wherever practical, and with plenty of free time to explore built into every schedule. No tour buses or matching windbreakers, no megaphones or nametags.

That said, every trip involves a fair amount of walking around, and there’s bound to be some time spent standing on a crowded train. This is Japan. Public transportation is smooth, timely and efficient. As a result, people use it! So will we. Mobility issues are a thought, as there will be stairs, and sometimes we will be carrying our bags, but we won’t be doing any running, nor will we be scaling mountains.
What will we be doing?
